About this event
The biggest South African jol of the year is BACK — and you know it’s going to be lekker!
Every year we take over 𝐑𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐳𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐦 for a full day of braai smoke, good vibes, too many dops, loads of laughs, and all the home food we’ve been missing. Think massive shared tables, kids running wild, dogs living their best lives, and a whole lot of “ag shame” and “eish” floating through the air

You won’t miss us — just look for the BIG South African flag, the smell of braai fires, and a crowd that sounds like a Joburg taxi rank on a Friday afternoon.
WHAT TO BRING (aka don’t pitch empty-handed )
This is a 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲-𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲, 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐥, so please bring something lekker for the communal table:
• SA treats
• Salads/sides
• Baked goods/puddings
• Snacks from home
• And if you’ve got a 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐚𝐢, please add your name to the list so we know how many we’ll have.

No DJ this year — but we’ll have a 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 where everyone can add their favourite tunes.
So expect everything from:

Maybe even a sneaky sokkie moment

WEATHER PLAN
For the past 5 years, we’ve dodged the rain like pros.
If it 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 rain, we just do what the Germans say:

If you’ve got gazebos or umbrellas, bring them along just in case.
FOOD FOR SALE
Bring some cash — 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞 will be selling boerewors (5 euros) rolls and other homemade goodies.
